Today isn't the only day i had to face this problem. Last time when i went to "Savings House" i went by a vehicle and the driver said he will park the vehicle in the other side of building. Security Guards at the main entrance didn't inform me or my driver about special token(small piece of paper) for parking at their premises. It later went on to big arguement on that day.
Knowing that today also would happen the same incident my driver ask for the token from the main gate security guards and they gave one token for my driver and another to me without telling me anything about what to do with it. As soon as i did my transactions at the bank i rush to the park. I need to mention that these banks still take a lot of time at the counter and even for 10000 transaction they are seeking permission from the higher authoritarian. As i went to the park we handed over both pieces of papers to the parking security guards. Once again they stopped us leaving the premises and i was shocked and asked the reason. The reason was that i have not got stamp on this piece of paper when i did my transaction. No security guards told me about taking it. It is hardly recognized in the back of the paper because this is just a photocopy of paper they used to give to all. The other noticeable thing is the instructions were printed only in Sinhala meaning that there is only Sinhalese doing transactions at NSB. Though i am a Sinhalese i strongly believe that it should have been printed in a proper material with all three languages. I had to shout once again and like last time they asked for my transaction receipts to prove that i was not having fun at NSB.
This is very poor service. I can imagine if NSB treat like this in Colombo main office how will it be in outer Colombo areas.
